"That was a sarcastic clap. The infinite between the claps means sarcasm."
The heroes have been engaging in heroism, battling countless Evil Minions and/or giving a Rousing Spoken communication.
Cue the slow, rhythmic, sarcastic clapping from the Big Bad or a less idealistic hero. He is not impressed (sneering "Bra-vo" is optional). Actress credit for starting to handclapping while slouched in a night corner, and so sauntering, even so clapping, into the calorie-free. Can also be done by villains or heroic characters who are non part of the cadre hero grouping (by virtue of being rugged and edgy loners), particularly Sixth Rangers.
This is commonly used to mock the hero(es). Either because their actions so far are insufficient to terminate the bad guy, have failed (oftentimes spectacularly) and only advanced the villain's agenda or only made things worse.
This clapping may be the rest of an outburst of applause from genuine supporters.
The golf game clap is sometimes substituted by the Sissy Villain.
Not to be confused with the Dull Clap. Compare Sarcasm Fashion, of which this is oftentimes a non-exact class.
